On the second day of my 3 day exhibition, I did an Acrylic Pouring demonstration for an intimate audience, but also streamed it via Facebook Live (you can watch that demonstration here --thanks to Fleur Stoop for holding the camera that long). The third piece was a Dutch Pour which turned out beautifully. The wife of a musical colleague of mine saw a bird in the painting, and I could clearly see it as well. They wondered if the piece was for sale, and of course, it was. She just loved that she witnessed the birth of this piece live.

Weeks later after it was dried and varnished it I delivered it and she saw what I had named the painting. Being Dutch she didn't know the English word (it isn't a common word) so I explained what it was and she almost became emotional. It turns out that the name was quite fitting as she was at a time in her life when after being stuck in a rut, she finally felt reborn and ready to spread her wings and fly...
