R.I.F.T.

My best friend, his wife and their two children are truly my family here in the Netherlands. They have been with me through thick and thin. A few days before my exhibition they came and helped me place the heavy screens that would display my work and made sure I had a warm meal every night as I set up for my opening.

They attended my Acrylic Pouring demonstration (you can watch that here) and their daughter Fleur filmed the whole thing for Facebook live (she also came on the final day and helped me break everything down!)

The second painting (of three) I poured during the demonstration was this one which the whole family loved. I told them it was theirs. When I delivered it, my best friend was confused about the name--until I mentioned the punctuation. Each of the 4 letters is the first letter of the family members.
